7 Months baby saved by SVS Doctors in Mahabubnagar

A 7 months old boy, resident of Polepalli village, Jadcherala mandal, was playing with peanuts when he accidently swallowed one, the peanut was stuck in the airway and the baby presented to the department of pediatrics who referred the case to department of pulmonology in SVS medical college and Hospital, Mahabubnagar, with complaints of shortness of breath and noisy breathing, as told by the mother.
The doctors immediately examined with CT scan which revealed a foreign body located in the trachea.
A rigid bronchoscopy has performed later Dr. Venkateshwar reddy Tummuru (Professor, Department of pulmonology), Dr. Ayatullah (professor, Department of anesthesiology) under general anesthesia and the peanut was removed with the latest technique.
A team of post graduates from department of pulmonology (Dr. Vinay, Dr. Lavanya, Dr. Siddiq, Dr. Suma, Dr. Grace, Dr. Anudeep and department of anesthesiology Dr. Anusha, Dr. Durga, Dr. Akhil were actively involved in this procedure.
The head of the department of pulmonology , Dr. Pradyut Waghray. Dr. ANV Koteshwara Rao and head of the hospital management Ram Reddy sir appreciated the team for performing such a difficult procedure in SVS medical college and Hospital, which is usually performed only in corporate Hospital in the metro city Hyderabad.But where as SVS doctors took dare step to save the baby.
The doctors showed their compassion on baby case it has done all medical service for t small baby at free of cost.
